Abstract

1506038 Selective printing SOC D'APPLICATIONS GENERALES D'ELECTRICITE ET DE MECANIQUE 2 July 1975 [25 July 1974] 27781/75 Heading B6F A printer comprises a print carriage 4 reciprocable on a rod 15, end plates 23, 24 of the carriage engaging springs 21, 22 respectively at the ends of travel of the carriage. The carriage carries a plurality of wire printing heads, and is driven by a heart-shaped cam 8 rotated about an axis O and engaging rollers 11, 12 on the carriage. A balancing mass 27 is reciprocated on a shaft parallel to shaft 15, in opposite phase to the carriage 4 to balance the momentum of the carriage 4. The printer can record while the carriage is moving in either direction.
