Abstract

Processes.-Relates to the production of slabs or other articles with polished surfaces from cement-stone-compositions, and consists in moulding the composition, smoothing the surface, exposing the moulded article to damp air for some time, and pressing by means of a bright or polished tool. The time of exposure may be reduced by introducing small quantities of the salts of fatty or other saponified acids into the composition.
