Abstract

1502062 Web winding machines ERWIN KAMPF MASCHINENFABRIK 19 March 1976 [19 March 1975] 11110/76 Heading B8R A web winding machine, in which a pressure roller 14 acting on the web roll periphery is adjustable relative to the periphery independently of the winding tension in the web, comprises a winding spindle 18 carried by a support 17 and driven by a motor 19, the pressure roller 14 carried by a carriage 10 and biased towards the periphery by a fluid cylinder 16 as well as a tensioning relief roller 7, which is provided at its ends with gears 8. The gears 8 which mesh with racks 9, 11 fast with the machine frame 4 and the carriage 10, displace the tensioning roller 7 parallel to the racks as the carriage 10 is moved away from the coil 20 under control of the fluid cylinder 16. The web wound on to the coil 20 is trained over the tension relief roller 7 such that the entering and leaving portions of the web are parallel to the racks.
