1501592 Diuretic compositions MERCK & CO INC 29 Jan 1976 [3 Feb 1975] 03585/76 Heading A5B Pharmaceutical compositions having diuretic and saluretic activity comprise a phenoxyacetic acid compound of formula:- wherein R is thienyl, C 1-3 alkyl - substituted thienyl, or furyl, together with N - amidino - 3. 5 - diamino - 6 - chloropyrazine - carboxamide (i.e. amiloride), the mole ratio of phenoxyacetic acid compound to the carboxamide compound being from 100:1 to 10:1. The compositions are for oral administration e.g. as capsules.
