Abstract

1501301 Stackable trays BORDEN (UK) Ltd 2 Feb 1976 04042/76 Heading B8P To ensure that a stack of food trays for use on aircraft takes up a minimum of space each tray lid 2 has a recessed projection 14 that on its underside engages the rim of a cup 6 and on the outside accommodates the lower end of a recess 5 which holds the cup in a superposed tray. The tray and lid are of a synthetic plastic and may be vacuum formed. Projections 13 on the lid snap over a rib 4 on the tray edge to secure the lid. To enable empty trays to be stacked regardless of whether one tray has been turned end-for-end a portion of a recess 8 of the tray is of reduced depth 23, the portion 23 accommodates the projection 14.
