1500718 Aqueous cutting fluids BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 10 June 1975 [14 June 1974] 26457/74 Heading C5F A metal-cutting fluid comprises 50 to 98À9% of water, 0À1 to 20% of an ammonium, substituted ammonium, alkali-metal or alkaline-earth-metal sulphide or polysulphide and 1 to 40% of a carbohydrate, e.g. a sugar or a soluble starch. It may also comprise a bactericide or a corrosion inhibitor.
