Abstract
159,145. Junkers, H. Feb. 21, 1920, [Convention date]. Valve-gear for actuating a fuel valve 1 comprises a single crank 12 or an eccentric driving two connecting-rods 4, 5 terminating in forward and reverse cams 6, 7, the rods being connected by links 8, 9 to a common pivot 10 on a reversing- lever 11 pivoted at 13. On moving the lever 11 into the forward or reverse position, one or other of the cams 6, 7 is moved into position for actuating the fuel valve through a lever 2 and roller 3. In the intermediate position of the lever 11 shown, neither cam will actuate the valve. In modifications, the cams may be mounted on the rods 4, 5 between the crank 12 and the links 8, 9, and the links may be suspended above the rods. The roller 3 and cams 6, 7 may be interchanged.
