Abstract

Sound magnifying and directing appliances.- Vehicle horns of the kind comprising an outer bell and one or more internal sound-passages have the outer bells and internal passages formed integrally. In the construction shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the nested interior passages 9, 10 are formed integrally with the outer ball 11 by bending from a single blank of sheet material. In another construction, the interior passages are formed side-by-side and connected at the outer ends by a circumferential passage formed by bending the outer edge of the external bell. Fig. 8 shows a cross-section of a horn formed by casting, the sound-passages 14, 15 being connected by the passage 16 formed in the outer edge of the external bell.
