Abstract
The novel compounds of the formula R1-(Y)n-S-S-R2 (I> with the exception of 2-thienyl ethyl disulphide, 2-pyridyl methyl disulphide, 4-chlorophenyl methyl disulphide and 3-nitrophenyl isopropyl disulphide, are prepared starting from compounds of the formulae <IMAGE> by reacting them with a mercaptan of the formula A-SH (VIII> in which R, R1, R2, Y, n, A, X and Z have the meaning given in claim 1. The novel compounds I are suitable for use as components of perfume and/or flavouring compositions.
