Abstract

The process is intended to allow preparation of lime water, in which only a small quantity of lime has to be added in order to obtain optimum flocculation. For this purpose, a lime suspension is passed upwards in a space between lamellae, a sludge zone which filters the lime suspension being formed at the bottom.
