Abstract
In the process, a web-shaped thermoplastic substrate (34) is taken off from a supply roll (16), preheated (18), received by a conveyor belt (44) and fed, while being kept warm, to consecutive workstations (A-E). In the first (A) thereof, the substrate is provided within a region with a flowable thermoplastic material (68) which, in a second workstation (B), is combined with the substrate to form a thermoplastic laminate. The latter passes to a preforming station (C) to form a preform. The preform passes to a turntable (152) and is cut out of the web before its introduction into a blow-moulding station (D). In the blow-moulding station (D), the hot preform is formed into the hollow body (200), the substrate (34) forming the hollow body inner surface and the applied plastic material (68) forming the outer surface of the hollow body. In subsequent cooling and stabilising stations on the turntable (152), the hollow body (200) is cooled and finished. The process makes possible the cost-effective production of oxygen-tight containers and the recycling of the individual material residues. <IMAGE>
