Abstract
1439924 Automatic control R M BROWN AND C FENWICK 21 June 1973 [28 June 1972] 30334/72 Heading G3N An electronic apparatus for the control of power to a plurality of electromagnetic radiation devices is effected by selection of a control module, having a particular control function, from a plurality of control modules. As shown, six lamps 28 are energized through interference filters 29 by mainssupplied triacs 27, the conduction point of which is determined by firing circuits 25 which derive pulses from a comparison of a mains-frequency ramp signal, from a generator 26 with voltage-level signals from a mixing and master control unit 15. The unit 15 is responsive to a manual fade control unit 16 or through a multiple-connector 23, 24 to a module 17 providing control signals in response to an audio input 22. The module may cause the lamps to pulsate in accordance with different octaves of the audio-signal or, alternatively, respond to different instruments. It is stated that the module can effect control in accordance with a set programme. In a second embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown) two control modules are connected to a group of master controls (33-36) and mixed. Selection circuits (37), (38) are arranged to respond to the highest output from the appropriate master control.
