1438483 Teaching arithmetic R ARMSTRONG and R ARMSTRONG 15 May 1973 [17 Feb 1972] 7562/72 Heading G5G Apparatus for teaching arithmetic comprises a base member 5 provided with at least one series of holes 6 arranged in a row, a plurality of pegs 7 dimensioned to fit the holes, and a plurality of numbered display members 12 detachably securable to the pegs 7 which are provided with a slot 11, as shown, or other fomation, e.g. a hole, for this purpose. The member 5 may have a peg 9 and a socket 10 at its respective ends so that it may be removably connected to other members to form a composite unit. The connection between members may also incorporate a hinge.
