Abstract

1438397 Belt tensioning SIEMENS AG 27 Sept 1973 [28 Sept 1972 29 Sept 1972] 45389/73 Heading F2Q A driving motor 2 for a washing machine is pivotally mounted about an axis transverse to an output shaft 12 carrying a pulley 13 by trunnions 6, 7 which are retained in half-open bearing shells 4, 5 by means of a spring 3 provided as a belt tensioning element and mounted between a portion 15 secured to the motor housing and a fixed anchorage 10. Preferably the bearings consist of half-shells of plastics material located in metal half-open bearing shells. The trunnions may be provided either on the motor housing or on the fixed anchorage 10.
