Abstract

1436265 Roller guides MORGARDSHAMMAR AB 7 June 1973 [7 June 1972] 27229/73 Heading B3M [Also in Division F2] A roller 1 for guiding rolled stock comprises a runner wheel 11 having bevelled inner surfaces which extend in opposite directions from a median plane, the wheel being supported on a fixed cylindrical axle 2 which carries two rotary bearing members 3 shaped to mate with the inner surfaces of the wheel. Discs 10 provide thrust bearings for the roller. The roller comprises a turbine wheel 5 which is clamped between the bearing members 3. The roller is rotated by supply of a driving medium and lubricant through passageways 6-8. The driving medium, having passed the turbine wheel 5, is discharged through passageways 9.
