Abstract

1434340 Electric battery lamps MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES 18 Feb 1974 [20 Feb 1973] 50729/74 Heading F4R A unit 85 for converting a battery-powered hand torch 52 into a camping or warning lantern comprises a base 86 and a receptacle 84 into which the torch can be removably inserted with its beam of light directed towards the base, a light diffusing means such as a conical reflector 94 being provided on the base in the path of the beam to re-direct the light in a radially outward direction. The torch comprises a transparent or translucent lens member 80 which is a snap fit on the end 82 of the torch housing 54 and is adapted to fit around a shoulder 96 in the unit 85, an alternative red lens member 104 being removably snap-fitted within a recess 106 on the underside of the base 86.
