1434057 5 - Methyl - 3 - n - butyl - octahydroindolizine NETHERLANDS APPLIED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FOR INDUSTRY TRADE & COMMERCE 19 April 1974 [19 April 1973] 18990/73 Heading C2C 5 - Methyl - 3 - n - butyl - octahydroindolizine having the formula is prepared by decarboxylating 5-methyl-3-nbutyl - 6,8 - dicarbethoxy - 7 - keto - octahydroindolizine having the formula by refluxing, and hydrogenating the product with zinc amalgam. The novel compound, together with a fluid or solid carrier, is useful as the active ingredient in an attractive composition for ants, &c.
