Abstract
1433734 Force measurement H MAIHAK AG 24 Jan 1975 [26 Jan 1974] 3212/75 Heading G1W A multicomponent force measurement device, particularly for measuring soil forces associated with seismic waves, comprises a measuring surface 3 upon which the force acts, and a housing 1 accomodating an element 2 for measuring the force component acting normally on the surface 3 and four elements 7 for measuring force components in respective directions parallel to the surface 3, each element 7 bearing against a fixed member 4 via an abutment means which permits free lateral movement of the element 7. Element 2 is supported on a member 5 fixed to the housing by a p.t.f.e. plate 6 forming a plane bearing. The four elements 7 are mounted laterally of element 2 and bear against members 4 via laterally flexible elements 8, the members 4 being secured to member 5.
