1433268 Brake for a roller ski or roller skate SERVICE AUTOMATER AB 17 May 1974 22187/74 Heading A6D A roller ski or roller skate, or the like, incorporating a brake consists of a frame 1 for supporting the user's foot, a series of transversely-mounted shafts 4 carrying wheels and one or more brakes 6 each of which is positioned alongside a wheel, each such wheel being movable transversely relative to the frame into contact with the brake against the action of a spring 7. The wheels may be fixed on the shafts, which slide within bearings 3 in the frame, or else they may be free to slide on the shafts which are fixed to the frame (Fig. 5, not shown). The brakes may be on either side of the wheels and may be adjustable towards and away from the wheels.
