Abstract

1431870 Bearings C ROB HAMMERSTEIN GmbH 11 June 1974 [22 June 1973] 25805/74 Heading F2A A slide rail guide for a vehicle seat comprises an inner rail 1 of substantially U-shaped crosssection and outwardly directed flanges 3, a substantially C-shaped outer rail 4 having a base, side walls and inwardly directed flanges 6 which engage around the flanges 3 and are spaced therefrom, and a plastics slide member 8 comprising rod-shaped portions accommodated in the spaces between the flanges 3, 6 and extending over the length of one of the rails and being secured thereto, the rod-shaped portions being integrally connected by a connecting wall 9 which extends along said side walls of the rail 4 inside and substantially perpendicular to the base, and then parallel to the base. The base of the rail 4 has at least one aperture or recess in which a projection 11 from the connecting wall forms a sliding or push fit. The slide member may be provided with recesses 15 through which cylindrical rollers 7 contact the base of the rail 4. The slide member may be injection moulded as a flat part lying in a single plane, the lateral portions 14 being thinner than the central portion to facilitate assembly.
