Abstract
1431287 Food composition R M SAUNDERS G O KOHLER M A CONNOR and R H EDWARDS 24 Aug 1973 [25 Aug 1972] 40214/73 Heading A2B [Also in Division C3] A food composition comprises a major proportion of a food and an added minor proportion of a solid protein concentrate obtained from cereal grain waste by (a) adding an alkali to the waste to give a pH of 8-10; (b) separating therefrom a liquid containing soluble proteins; (c) acidifying the liquid to pH 5.5 to 6.0; (d) coagulating a solid protein concentrate within the liquid; (e) separating the coagulated product from the liquid and (f) drying the separated product (see Division C3).
