1430945 Securing parts together DECCA Ltd 8 Nov 1973 [13 Nov 1972] 52286/72 Heading F2U A rotor component 1 (e.g. a video machine disc) is centred and releasably fixed on a boss 4 of a support member 3 by means of balls 8 displaced outwardly and downwardly within inclined bores 11 in the boss by a forcing plug 9. As shown, three balls 8 are located between balls 6 and 7 which are pressed towards each other by a screwed plug 9, the bores 11 being provided with retaining stops 12 or a retaining taper. The ball 7 may be replaced with a flat surface. The ball 6 may be a slight interference fit and, to return it, a plug of elastic material may be provided between balls 6 and 7.
