Abstract

1428565 Clamping devices LA TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE 13 June 1973 [14 June 1972] 28150/73 Addition to 1309203 Heading E2B A device for fixing in an opening in a panel 20 comprises a member having a shank 1 adapted to pass through the opening, a flange 17 and a base-plate 38, and a nut 2 slidable on the shank and adapted to cooperate with the panel through a washer 3 and having gear teeth 2a meshing with a pinion 6 journalled in an extension of the base plate and in the washer. The nut is provided with helical ramps 30, 31 inclined in opposite directions which co-operate with helical ramps 32, 33 respectively on the base plate and washer. The panel is gripped between the flange 17 and washer 3 on rotation of the pinion in one direction, the pinion rotating the nut so that co-operation between the ramps causes movement of the washer along the shank. The flange 17 is removable secured to the shank, and the ramps may have co-operable teeth formed therein to provide a positive locking of the components of the device.
