1428059 Amusement machine MATTEL 1NC 20 June 1974 [5 Nov 1973] 27361/74 Heading A6H An amusement machine comprises a substantially vertical surface, propelling means 16, 17 having a ledge member 60, Fig. 4, to hold a perforated token and a pin 61 above the ledge, and a cam 64 which moves the pin through the hole in the token when the propelling means is actuated. Tokens are inserted through a slot 67 and drop onto the ledge 60. As the lever mechanism 16 is depressed against a spring before relase to project a token, the pin 61 is moved by the cam 64 so that, if the token has no hole, the pin ejects it into a reject slot 62. The housing 12 may be of compressed cardboard or polystyrene. The slots 31, 30, 30a and 29 are respectively jackpot, 2 for 1, 4 for 1 and overfill slots. A winning token entering any of the slots 30 passes down a chute (42 Fig. 2) and tilts an arm carrying pins 34, 36 to allow the two tokens 57, 58 to drop into a receptacle 39 together with the winning token. As the tokens drop, they ring a bell 38. A winning token entering a slot 30a actuates a lever (71) connected to the arm carrying the pins 34, 36 to actuate it and release two tokens, the winning token then dropping down onto the arm to actuate it directly and release two more tokens. The player himself may release two tokens by actuating the mechanism by a lever accessible from the rear of the machine. Winning token entering the slot 31 rotates a lever to move a pin 32 along a slot 33 allowing all the tokens in the jackpot chute 23, 24 to drop into the receptacle 39 hitting the bell as they go, the serrations 23a slowing their pace. The jackpot mechanism can also be reset from the rear.
