Abstract

1427700 Grinding W C POLLARD 22 Feb 1973 [24 Nov 1971] 54558/71 Heading B3D [Also in Divisions B4-B5] A device for trimming the lower edge of a door 5 comprises a base member or plate 1 with support means carrying, or adapted to carry, a motor 2 for driving a rotary abrading tool 3 about a vertical axis, and adjacent the base member or plate 1. The base member or plate 1 enables the device to be moved along a floor alongside a mounted door 5 for trimming its lower edge. The support means is a plate 11 which is vertically adjustable by means of nuts 14 threaded on studs 13 secured to the plate 1. The plate 11 has a recess 12 for receiving the front boss 22 of an electric drill motor easing 20, the rest of the casing being supported by brackets 15, a pivoted retaining member 17 and screws 18 and 19. The member 3 is a sanding or abrasive disc. The plate 1 has a knob 4 and the studs 13 support a blade guard 31. The plate 1 may be roller or ball mounted.
