Abstract

1426975 Reels HELMAC-ROTH Ltd 8 April 1974 [9 April 1973] 15443/74 Heading B8M A device for storing slack cord or (electric) cable intermediate its ends by winding comprises a drum 10 rotatably and detachably mountable on a boss 22 by slidable engagement of a bead 24 with a groove 26. Alignment of shallow and deep slots 34 and 32 (in a wall 30 extending from a base plate 20) with deep and shallow slots 12 and 14 form apertures through and between which the cord &c. is passed. Rotation of a cover plate 18 relative to plate 20 winds the cord at two positions around drum 10. One or the other of plates 18, 20 may be wall-mounted after or before and/or during the winding operation.
