Abstract
1426480 Measuring fluid-flow G KROMSCHRODER AG 12 July 1973 [14 July 1972] 33374/73 Heading G1R In a method of or apparatus for testing or calibrating a bellows gas meter or meters 5, a blower 1 forces gas, such as air, through a tube 16 into a container 6 to force a thin oil, water or a similar fluid through a pipe 8 into a second container 7 to displace air through a pipe 20 into the meter or meters 5. A meter 10, having a chamber at least fifty times smaller than the meter or meters 5, measures the displaced quantity of oil passing therethrough and a pulse generator 26 generates at least one thousand pulses for fifty consecutive working cycles of the meter 10 and operates an indicator 29. The pulses from the generator 26 are conveyed through a divider 27 to a gate switch 25 which only forwards these pulses to a counter 28 and the indicator 29 when a pointer 23 on a meter 5 reaches a pulse trans- mitter 24. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown) gas first passes through the meter 5 before entering the container 6.
