Abstract
1425401 Two part couplings BELLING & LEE Ltd 19 April 1974 [19 April 1973] 19116/73 Heading H2E A protective cover 10 for a brown connector has slots (12, Fig, 1, not shown) in a central flat portion 11 to allow passage of the connector elements 31 and two sidewalls 13, 14 extending from opposite edges of the central portion 11 and which abut at a distance from it. The side walls may have raised ribs 25, 26 and may have grooves in pairs 18, 20 in the region of abutment. Preferably a flat conductor cable is used with the known connector passing through the normally abutting edges. A U-shaped clamp 35, Fig. 5, may be inserted in one set of grooves 18, 20, or another of different depth to permit gripping of different cable thicknesses. The clamp may have locking teeth 35C to hinder withdrawal. The connector elements 31 pass through a rectangular cross-section block 30 which is held in place by inward projections 16, 17 on the side walls. The clamp may extend over the whole side of the connector as shown dotted, 36.
