1424834 Making flexural pivots; electroerosion BENDIX CORP 5 Sept 1973 [8 Sept 1972 (2)] 41642/73 Headings B3A and B3V [Also in Divisions F2 C7 and E2] A method of manufacturing flexural pivots comprises the steps of removing material from a cylindrical housing 10 to form axially-overlapping, diagonally-opposite annular spaces 32 eccentric to the axis of the housing 10, mounting crossed flat springs 21, 22 into grooves 12 and parting the housing 10 circumferentially to intersect the annular spacer 32. The annular spacer may be machined conventionally or by electro-erosion using an electrode 15.
