Abstract

1424645 Gas detector DRAGERWERKAG 25 Jan 1974 [26 Jan 1973] 03685/74 Addition to 1401898 Heading G1B A modification of the portable gas detecting apparatus described in Specification 1401898 comprises an electric switch carried by the housing whereby the power source transmits electricity to drive the fan, an operating element of the switch being so arranged that said switch is closed by mounting the detector tube on said housing. In the arrangement shown in Fig, 2, the detector tube is positioned in housing 1 Fig, 1 (not shown) in holder 19. An operating element 22 of switch 23 projects in a depressible way into recess 21 of holder 19. Insertion of a detector tube into holder 19 will thus operate the switch to operate the miniature fan.
