Abstract

1424359 Herbicidal application of quinoline derivatives IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 10 April 1973 [4 May 1972] 20849/72 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] Herbicidal processes and compositions utilize as active ingredients quinoline compounds of the formula: or an N-oxide, acid addition salt, or acyl halide addition salt thereof, wherein X represents a chlorine, bromine, fluorine, or iodine atom, and Y represents hydrogen or a hydrazino radical -NRNH 2 wherein R represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, the hydrazino radical being optionally substituted by an acyl group. Optionally other herbicides may be present, in particular trifluralin and diethamine. The compositions find application in combating weeds in cotton crops.
