Abstract
1423604 Rinsing articles after eg phosphating; pickling or electro-plating STEULERINDUSTRIEWERKE GmbH 26 Jan 1973 [26 Jan 1972] 4229/73 Headings C7B C7E and C7U In e.g. an electro-plating, pickling or phosphating process, the processed articles in a drum 6 are rinsed in a bath 3; by supplying sufficient water to give a preliminary rinse through nozzles 11, 12, which water is removed through a valve 14 to a chemical recovery plant. After a similar preliminary rinse, the full rinsing is carried out by returning water from overflow 4 to a tank 2 and thence to pump 43, ion exchange unit 44, and nozzles 11. The drum is then removed from the bath and the bath emptied. The state of the rinsing water which is recirculated is monitored by a conductivity probe 20.
