Abstract

1423167 Laminates ZIRCONAL PROCESSES Ltd 18 April 1973 [18 April 1972] 17892/72 Heading B5N [Also in Divisions C3 and D1-D2] A laminate comprises two layers or articles of ceramic fibre material bonded together with a binder comprising a silica aquasol thickened with an evenly dispersed natural or synthetic clay in which the silica in the aquasol is gelled to set the binder. One or more finely divided refractory materials, e.g. sillimanite, mullite, alumina or a commercial alumino-silicate, may be added to the binder. The ceramic fibre may be mineral wool.
