Abstract

1422228 Air-knife apparatus for hot-dip galvanizing ITALSIDER SpA 27 Nov 1973 [27 Nov 1972] 54964/73 Addition to 1341766 Heading C7F In an air-knife apparatus of the kind described in Specification 1341766 wherein the air nozzle comprises a rigid upper lip 23 and a flexible lower lip 24 allowing for adjustment of the nozzle height, there are provided two side shutters 90, 91, sliding in said nozzle against the lips thereof so as to allow continuous variation in width of the fluid jet during the coating operation. Manual or automatic means may be provided to keep the nozzle of equal width to the strip, and also centred therewith.
