Abstract

1422077 Friction clutches JURID WERKE GmbH 5 June 1974 [14 June 1973] 24872/74 Heading F2C An axially resilient clutch driven plate 1 has three circumferentially spaced arms each carrying a pair of sintered metal friction pads 3, each pad being sintered to a backing plate 4 which is attached to an arm of the plate 1 with its concave side facing the plate. The backing plates 4 extend circumferentially beyond the friction pads 3 and are welded at 5 to the arms of the plate 1. Radial slots (13), Figs. 6-8 (not shown) may be provided in the arms of the plate 1 to increase the axial resiliency of the plate. In Fig. 5 (not shown) additional dished springs (17) are provided between the friction pads and the plate.
