Abstract
1421625 Centrifugal pumps ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 2 Feb 1973 [2 Feb 1972] 5375/73 Heading F1C [Also in Division F2] In a non-return valve for the inlet 6 to a submersible drainage pump a part 2 of an annular member is sealed to the pump housing 1 and a flexible part 3 co-operates with the periphery of a disc 5 or with a cylindrical part (11), Fig. 5 (not shown) of the housing. In modifications, the disc 5 is flexible, and the part 3 may then be rigid. Bulges (8) may be provided on the lip to space it from the surface on which the pump is supported.
