Abstract

1418266 Controlling pumps CATERPILLER TRACTOR CO 22 Feb 1974 [5 March 1973] 8196/74 Heading F1A A pump unloading circuit for reducing the torque load on a prime mover 13 during starting comprises a valve 10 with a spool 36 which is moved to the right in the Fig. by a pedal 56 to connect the pump output line 23 to a reservoir 14 through a port 30, passage 28, port 31 and a conduit 24. Normally, lands 38, 39 close the passage 28 and a relief valve 19 controls the system pressure.
