Abstract

1414979 Burners D H ROBINSON 7 March 1974 [7 Dec 1972] 56552/72 Heading F4T A gas burner has a burner box with flame ports arranged on a sinuous path running along one side of the box. As shown the ports are slots 1 arranged in the convex top 3 of the box which is provided with an internal gas/air mixing tube (13) fed by a central gas nozzle (15) at one end and a gauze (12) under the ports. Ports 2 may be provided between the slots 1 on the bends in the path. The path may alternatively be formed by slots la, 1b. The slots 1 can be replaced by rows of round holes. A plurality of sinuous rows of ports may be used with adjacent rows preferably 180 degrees out of phase.
