Abstract
1414558 Ground-grading apparatus BLAIR MFG CO Inc 15 Oct 1973 [4 Dec 1972] 48543/73 Heading E1F A ground grader, such as disclosed in the referred-to U.S. Specification 3552498, is modified in that the horizontally disposed piston-cylinder unit controlling linkage regulating vertical pivotal movement of the axle support of ground-supported wheels 83 pivotally coupled by the support for movement about a vertical axis by a swing link to the rear of a grader blade 28 supported from a circular carrier 24 mounted on a draw bar 22 biassed downwards relative to the grader chassis 12 by resilient means 50 is replaced by a vertically acting piston cylinder unit incorporated in a two piece telescopic guide 140, 142 of rectangular cross section extending between the axle support 172 and the swing link 130. Preferably the inner member 142 of the guide 140, 142 is provided with wear strips 158, 159 that are slidably engaged by the outer member 140. A split tubular clamp 143, 180 is provided for coupling of the inner member 142 to the axle 144.
