Abstract

1414295 Clothes dryer HOTPOINT Ltd 26 Jan 1973 [14 Dec 1971] 3782/73 Heading F4G [Also in Division D1] The control unit 6, comprising a timer 7 and other circuit elements such as switches 8 and a solid state module 9, of an automatic clothes washing or drying machine is mounted on a carrier member 10 which is normally secured to a casing 1 in a first position with the control unit with the casing but which may be displaced outwardly to a second position wherein it remains supported by the casing. As shown the panel 10 is hinged by a flexible strip 12 to the top of the front of the casing 1 and a drum drive motor 5 is disposed within the casing above a tub 2 and is connected by a cable harness 13 to the control unit. The machine may be operated in both positions of the control unit.
