1412771 Lamps MARCONI CO Ltd 19 Jan 1973 [22 Jan 1972] 3148/72 Heading F4R [Also in Division G2] A scanning light source comprises a lamp 33, e.g. quartz iodine, which illuminates an end 32 of a compact bundle of optic fibres through a lens or mirror system (not shown). The opposite ends of the fibres are arranged as a radius 31 and the fibres are mounted in a bearing and drive device 34 so that the radius 31 is rotated.
