1412479 Magnetic-disc data-storage apparatus INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 29 Nov 1973 [29 Dec 1972] 55359/73 Heading G5R An enclosure 10, Fig. 2, or 15, Fig. 3, for a magnetic-disc data-storage apparatus 1, 6, 7 has part of its periphery in the form of a curved wall 10a or 15a, 15b closely spaced from the periphery of the disc(s) and forming part of a cylinder coaxial therewith, the spacing between the wall and the disc periphery being small enough, e.g. less than 2À5 mm., substantially to prevent air movement on one side of a disc from causing turbulence in the air on the other side of the disc. The air flow may be further controlled by at least one spoiler 9, 13, 14 extending into the space between two discs.
