Abstract

1411984 Sliding partition FALTAG AG 18 Oct 1972 [15 Nov 1971] 47956/72 Heading E1S A sliding wall element has a runner 2 slidable along on a rail 8 in one floor or ceiling structure, a beam 3 supporting the rail being movable vertically to clamp the wall element against the other structure. Sealing strips 4 are loosely secured to beam 3 by screw 12. Links 18 are pivoted to a fixed member 20 and engage pegs 23 on beam 3 and are pivoted by a bar 21 to lift and lower the beam. When lowered the wall element engages the floor, the shaft connecting the runners and element telescopes and strips 4 press downwardly and outwardly on seals 10, 9. Alternatively a beam in the floor lifts the wall element to seal against the ceiling.
