Abstract

1411505 Spool valve R C CLERK 14 June 1974 [22 June 1973] 29691/73 Heading F2V A spool valve has ports 16, 10, 18, extending across the axis of the spool at 20, 12, 22, so as to balance the pressure. The spool 4 has grooves 14 in its lands, the width of which is less than the diameter of the ports. The spool is actuated by a manual lever 8 so as to supply oil or air to the required side of a piston 6 to be actuated.
