Abstract

1408387 Electric kettles RUSSELL HOBBS Ltd 3 Nov 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 55048/71 Heading A4A [ Also in Division H1] The Specification describes an electrically heated beverage maker as disclosed in Specification No. 1392283 [Division H1], but the claims are directed to the thermoplastics connector position (153, 155 in the above mentioned Specification, 53, 55 in this Specification) connected to the heating element but adapted to become disconnected from the element when its termperature rises substantially above its normal working value to open a switch (contacts 161, 117 in the above mentioned Specification). Also in the present Specification, Fig. 1 when forks 55 are disconnected from heating element 16, plastics rod 53 is urged upwardly by spring 54 so that projection 58 on rod 53 pivots L-shaped lever 48 about its axis to depress rod 36 to snap over dolly 26 to open contacts 23, 24.
