1407298 Filter element PRZEDSIEBIORSTWO PROJEKTOWANIA I DOSTAW KOMPLETNYCH OBIEKTOW PRZEMYSLOWYCH CHEMADEX 30 Oct 1972 [28 Oct 1971] 49910/72 Heading B1D An apertured pipe 1 is enclosed by a stack of externally grooved ceramic or plastics sleeves 4 with apertures (not shown) in their grooves, and a filter cloth tube 11 is stretched over the sleeves between end clamps 10, 12 and 10a, 12a, each comprising resiliently lined and covered rings and seats. The tube 11 may be tensioned by rotating bolt 8, 19 to move slider 7 axially out of sleeve 5. Screw 6 prevents slider 7 from rotating. Filtration flow is inwards and tube 11 is cleaned by backwashing and simultaneous vibration.
