Abstract

1405875 Diaphragm actuators COMPTEURS SCHLUMBERGER 1 April 1974 [30 March 1973] 14279/74 Heading F1D A diaphragm actuator, Fig. 1, comprises a diaphragm 11 of closed toroidal form housed in a container 10, which acts on a spring-loaded plate 12 to which a rod 14 is connected. This arrangement removes sealing problems and prevents contact between the pressure fluid and metallic parts. Fig. 3 shows an embodiment in which a portion 21 of the diaphragm is made of unreinforced elastomer whilst a portion 22 is made from a canvassed elastomer, e.g. nylon-neoprene.
