Abstract

1404964 Diapers PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 7 Dec 1972 [9 Dec 1971] 56622/72 Heading A5R [Also in Division B5] A diaper comprises an absorbent body 13 of non-bonded fibres contained between a superposed top sheet 14 and a web 18 which has substantial wet strength, the fibres in the areas 15, 16 of the diaper which receive pins to hold the diaper in its operative position, having an average length of 0.5 mm to 0.9 mm. The absorbent body 13 may be an airfelt and the top sheet 14 is a porous non- woven material. The web 18 may be of creped tissue. A thin flexible back sheet 17 of waterproof material may be provided.
