1403628 Lubricating metal cold-forming ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 2 Feb 1973 [4 Feb 1972] 5256/73 Heading C5F In cold-forming, a metal is lubricated with an iodide of a perfluorinated hydrocarbon, e.g. CF 3 (C 2 F 4 ) n I where n = 5 to 14. The lubricant may be used as a solution, solvents being for example a chloro-fluoro hydrocarbon, a bromo-fluorohydrocarbon, a chloro-bromo-hydrocarbon, or a mixture thereof.
