Fusible cut-outs. - A fuse comprises two members, in one of which is inserted a number of fuse wires, any one of which may be brought into circuit by relative rotation between the two members, The bottom member 3 has an end contact 4 and a screwed contact sleeve 5, which is in contact with a member 12 having a part 13 hooked over the upper face of the member 3. A number of contacts 10, each connected through a fuse 14 led in an axial position up and down through holes in the top member 1 to a central disk 16, are adapted to be brought, in turn, against the part 13 by rotation of the member 1. A spindle 8, connected to the contacts 4, is fixed to a cover 9, and a spiral spring 6 between a nut 15 and the disk 16 completes the electric connexion and presses the members 1 and 3 together. Teeth 20 on the top member, corresponding in number and position to the fuse wires, engage with teeth 21 on the bottom member to position the plugs 10 on the contact 13. The cap member has holes 19 rendering the fuse wires visible and the hole above the contact 13 may bear a distinguishing mark. A lining of mica or other insulating material surrounds the central cavity in the member 1.
